Dandy Do Cookies
A classic, chewy, and buttery cookie with a hint of vanilla and a perfect golden-brown edge—these “Dandy Do Cookies” are simple, delicious, and sure to be a hit!
Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or mix-ins of choice: M&Ms, nuts, etc.)
Instructions

Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

Cream Butter & Sugars

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add Eggs & Vanilla

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.

Fold in Mix-Ins

Stir in chocolate chips (or your preferred add-ins).

Scoop & Bake

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers are still soft.

Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Peanut Butter Dandy Do: Replace 1/2 cup butter with 1/2 cup peanut butter.
