Ingredients (serves 6):

1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled & deveined (cut large ones in half)

8 oz (225g) lump crab meat (picked over for shells)

3 tbsp butter

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small red bell pepper, diced

2 celery stalks, diced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups milk (or half-and-half for richer flavor)

½ cup mayonnaise or sour cream

1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or paprika + cayenne mix)

½ tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cooked rice or buttered noodles (optional, for base)

½ cup breadcrumbs (mixed with 1 tbsp melted butter for topping)

Instructions:

Cook the shrimp

In a skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Sauté shrimp just until pink (2–3 minutes). Remove and set aside.
