Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips
These crispy, sweet, and lightly spiced banana chips are a healthy snack made effortlessly in the air fryer—no deep-frying needed! Perfect for guilt-free munching.
Ingredients
-
2-3 firm, slightly underripe bananas (yellow with a hint of green)
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice (to prevent browning)
-
1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
-
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
Cooking spray or light oil (avocado or coconut oil works well)
Instructions
1. Prep the Bananas
-
Peel bananas and slice them very thinly (about 1/8-inch thick) using a sharp knife or mandoline.
-
Toss slices in lemon juice to prevent oxidation (browning).
2. Make the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
-
In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
3. Air Fry in Batches
-
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
-
Arrange banana slices in a single layer (no overlapping) and lightly spray with oil.
-
Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
-
Remove chips while still warm and immediately sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
4. Cool & Crisp Up
-
Let chips cool on a wire rack—they’ll crisp up further as they cool.
-
Repeat with remaining batches.
Tips for Success
✔ Use slightly underripe bananas (too ripe = soggy chips).
✔ Slice evenly for uniform cooking.
