Ingredients (for one 9×9-inch cake or loaf):

1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) sugar

4 large eggs, room temperature

2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

½ cup (120ml) milk (room temp)

Instructions:

Prep the oven & pan

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×9-inch square pan (or loaf/tube pan).
