Ingredients *(Serves 2-3)*
-
2 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on
-
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to heat preference)
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika
-
Salt & black pepper to taste
-
1 tbsp olive oil
For the Honey Butter Sauce:
-
3 tbsp unsalted butter
-
2 tbsp honey
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1 tsp hot sauce (like Louisiana or Tabasco, optional)
-
Garnish: Sliced green onions, lemon wedges
Instructions
1. Season the Salmon
-
Pat salmon dry, then rub with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Sear the Salmon
-
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook 2-3 more minutes. Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Honey Butter Sauce
-
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in honey, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until glossy.
4. Glaze & Serve
-
Return salmon to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Cook 1 more minute.
-
Garnish with green onions and serve with rice, veggies, or a crisp salad.
Tips
-
Spice control: Use mild Cajun seasoning or add ½ tsp cayenne for extra heat.
-
Substitute: Swap honey with maple syrup for a deeper flavor.
-
Skinless salmon? Sear for 3-4 minutes per side.
This Cajun Honey Butter Salmon is a fiery-sweet flavor bomb—tender, sticky, and totally addictive! 🔥😋
