Ingredients (Serves 4)
-
8 oz fettuccine (or pasta of choice)
-
1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
-
2 tbsp butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (+ extra for garnish)
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
-
½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
-
Cook Pasta – Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
-
Sauté Shrimp – In a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
-
Make Alfredo Sauce – In the same skillet, melt remaining 1 tbsp butter. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and simmer 2-3 minutes.
-
Add Cheese – Stir in Parmesan, black pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning until smooth. If too thick, add reserved pasta water 1 tbsp at a time.
-
Combine – Toss in cooked pasta and shrimp, coating everything in the sauce. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.
Tips
-
For Extra Flavor – Add a splash of white wine with the garlic.
-
Lighter Option – Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
-
Avoid Grainy Sauce – Use freshly grated Parmesan (not pre-shredded).
