Homemade Fudge Brownies 🍫✨
Ultra-rich, chewy, and chocolatey with a crackly top—just like the bakery!
Ingredients
-
1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
-
2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
-
4 large eggs, room temp
-
1 tbsp vanilla extract
-
1 cup (85g) cocoa powder (Dutch-process or natural)
-
1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp baking powder
-
1 cup (175g) chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)
Instructions
1. Prep & Mix Wet Ingredients:
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
-
In a bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
2. Add Dry Ingredients:
-
Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold until just combined (don’t overmix).
-
Stir in chocolate chips (if using).
3. Bake:
-
Spread batter into the pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until the edges pull away but the center is slightly fudgy (toothpick should have a few crumbs).
4. Cool & Slice:
-
Let cool 1 hour in the pan (this sets the fudgy texture!). Lift out using parchment and cut into squares.
Pro Tips:
🔥 For extra decadence, swirl in peanut butter or Nutella before baking.
🍫 Use dark cocoa powder for an intense chocolate flavor.
🧊 Storage: Keep in an airtight container for 5 days or freeze for 1 month.
These brownies are crisp on top, dense inside, and utterly irresistible! Serve warm with ice cream or enjoy solo. 😋🍨
(Fun Fact: Underbaking slightly ensures that perfect fudgy texture!)
