Homemade Chocolate Cobbler

Ingredients
For the Batter:

½ cup milk

For the Topping:

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup packed brown sugar

¼ cup cocoa powder

1 ½ cups hot water

Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
2. Make the Batter

In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.

Spread evenly in the baking dish.
3. Add the Topping

In a separate bowl, mix sugars and cocoa powder. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.

Gently pour hot water over the top—DO NOT STIR!
4. Bake

Bake 35–40 mins until the top is set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
5. Serve Warm

Let cool 5–10 mins (sauce will thicken slightly).
