Cheesy Baked Goulash
A comforting, hearty twist on classic goulash—loaded with ground beef, pasta, tomatoes, and a gooey cheese topping!
Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef (or turkey/Italian sausage)

1 small onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce

1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes (undrained)

1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
-
2 cups beef broth (or water + bouillon)

1 tsp Italian seasoning
-
1 tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)

½ tsp oregano
-
½ tsp salt & black pepper (to taste)

2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:

Brown the Meat:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, cook beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Simmer the Sauce:

Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, and seasonings.

Bring to a simmer, then stir in uncooked pasta.

Cover and cook 10–12 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.

Add Cheese & Bake:

Top with cheddar and mozzarella.

Bake uncovered for 10–15 mins until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Broil 1–2 mins for extra crispiness (optional).
