Golden, crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy inside—just like your favorite restaurant’s! Perfect for snacks, salads, or dipping.
Ingredients (Serves 4)

1 lb (450g) chicken breast or tenders, cut into strips

1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar, rested 5 mins)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)

1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
2 eggs, beaten
-
Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)
For Serving

Dipping sauces (honey mustard, BBQ, ranch, etc.)

Instructions
1️⃣ Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, soak chicken strips in buttermilk for 30 mins (or up to 4 hrs for extra tenderness).
2️⃣ Prepare the Breading

In three separate bowls, set up:

Flour + salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, cayenne.

Beaten eggs.

Panko breadcrumbs.

3️⃣ Bread the Chicken

Take a strip from buttermilk, let excess drip off.

Dredge in flour → dip in egg → coat in panko**. Press crumbs gently to stick.

Place on a tray and repeat for all strips.
4️⃣ Fry to Crispy Perfection

Heat 1 inch of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).

Fry strips in batches for 3-4 mins per side until golden brown.

Drain on a wire rack or paper towels (keeps them crispy!).

Tips for Extra Crispy Strips
