6-Minute Microwave Caramel Sauce
Silky, buttery, and perfect for drizzling—no candy thermometer needed!
Ingredients

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

1 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)

½ cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for dairy-free)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Melt the Butter & Sugar

In a microwave-safe bowl (at least 4-cup capacity), melt butter on HIGH for 1 minute.

Stir in brown sugar until fully combined.
2. Microwave & Cook

Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.

Carefully remove (bowl will be hot!) and stir.

Microwave another 2 minutes until bubbly and slightly thickened.
3. Add Cream & Finish

Slowly whisk in heavy cream (mixture will bubble vigorously).

Microwave 1 final minute.

Stir in vanilla and salt.
4. Cool & Use

Let cool 5–10 mins (it thickens as it cools).

Store in a jar for up to 2 weeks in the fridge. Reheat in 10-second intervals.
